We are committed to the best environmental practices regarding the product designing, manufacturing, testing and recycling processes. As part of the certification requirements, we comply with the highest environmental standards, ensuring proper solid waste disposal, and following all legal and ecological requirements.

We have received approved supervision reports and wastewater, emissions and noise related tests from certified laboratories, subject to inspections by the environmental agencies, as well by TÜV Rheinland. In November 2009 our environmental management system was certified ISO 14001:2004.

BRASCABOS constantly reinforces to all its employees how important ecological values are, promoting events such as lectures and participatory activities. 

BRASCABOS does not disposal large amounts of solid wastes either during or after the production of electrical harnesses and cables. Besides, a substantial amount of all waste is properly recycled.

The cooling water used in some of the manufacturing processes does not contain any harmful substances and it is reused instead of being discarded. The warehouses where all environmentally hazardous materials are stored, as well as our soluble oil tanks, are equipped with containment devices in order to avoid causing any harm to the environment in the event of leakage.

From day one, BRASCABOS has always complied with the Brazilian laws and regulations for environmental protection, obtaining all demanded approvals and permits granted by local government agencies. Furthermore, we are compliant with all applicable national and local environmental regulations.

Aware of its responsibility towards the environment and society in which it takes part, BRASCABOS has some guidelines for its activities: pollution prevention, compliance with applicable environmental laws and the continuous improvement of its processes, aiming also the minimization of environmental impacts.

To do so, some environmental programs involving training and awareness of employees were developed, also the implementation of operational controls and processes improvements aiming to reduce water and electricity consumption, waste generation and to eliminate environmentally harmful substances from its processes.
